Artesanos de la Gastronomía: Empowering At-Risk Youth
Artesanos de la Gastronomía is a non-profit organization founded by Chef Randy Siles in 2010 with the mission of identifying, training, and developing at-risk youth and facilitating their entry into the labor market within the gastronomy and hospitality sectors.
With the support of Laurent Boschero—editor of the French travel guide *Le Petit Futé—Randy Siles forged new alliances in France with the crème de la crème of the hospitality and culinary industries to provide culinary training to Artesanos de la Gastronomía students.
The portfolio of strategic partnerships in Europe includes: the Michelin-starred restaurant Le Jardin de Benjamin at the 5-star Château de Berne hotel; Hôtel Le Club de Cavalière & Spa; Hôtel Le Grand Cœur & Spa; Kisko García’s Michelin-starred Restaurant Choco; Christian Boeuf’s restaurant La Bastide des Magnans; and Gabriele Boffa, resident chef at the Locanda Sant’Uffizio Enrico Bartolini restaurant.
